Kid pissed right off at me in the middle of a tantrum storms outside with his skateboard and starts to try smashing it to bits on the concrete. I calmly walk outside and say "if you break that you can't have the boards and box of parts I have in my trunk" (He knew that someone offered to donate me their old skate stuff and was very excited for it to arrive). He stops mid swing... growls at me... and storms back to his room carrying his unharmed board slamming the door behind him.
I sent another kid down with the donated boards and supplies so he would have a project and a friend to hang out with while he pouted and vented his anger lol.
